Rep. Runyon updated the mayors on legislative affairs in Washington, D.C., particularly on the recent passage of and controversy over emergency funding for Hurricane Sandy relief. The congressman brought a representative from the Federal Emergency Management Agency, Sue Marticek (below) to help address storm aid concerns.

On Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, the Ocean County Mayors’ Association will hold a business meeting at the Legend Restaurant adjacent to the Howard Johnson Hotel located at 955 Hooper Avenue, Toms River, N.J. Registration begins at 8:30 AM. Lori Buckelew of the N.J. League of Municipalities will speak on behalf of Bill Dressel, the league's executive director. There is a $15.00 per person meeting fee. Guests are welcome. Attendance limited to 50.
