2018 Golf Photos!

June 19, 2018, our guests were
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers
The N.J. Dept. of Environmental Protection

Here are some, but not all, of the folks who came to explain the new flood risk study.

In the largest guest contingent ever to visit the mayors, people from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the  N.J. Department of Environmental Protection, and the County of Ocean came to explain the New Jersey Back Bays Flood Risk Management Feasibility Study. The aim of the study is to investigate flooding and suggest ways to mitigate damages from coastal flooding, particularly as it affects the inland tidal waters of Ocean, Burlington, Atlantic, and Cape May Counties - some 950 square miles. The Army Corps will be conducting the study in cooperation with the NJ DEP. The work is expected to take three years.

According to the Army Corps. municipalities are among the stakeholder encouraged to provide feedback and input throughout the study process.

The Ocean County Mayors' Association has been found tax exempt by the IRS. Donations are deductible. Documentation of this determination and related financial disclosure documents are available for public examination. cir
