Mayor Curits Mayor Curtis welcomed all in attendance and lead the flag salute with a moment of service. He then called upon Treasurer Chris Boyle to present the Treasurer’s Report.
Mayor EmeritusThe Treasurer’s report was approved. Mayor Emeritus Boyle then presented the slate of officers for our 2026 election.

Mayor Emeritus With no nominations from the floor, the presented slate was approved by the membership. Congratulations to our 2026 officers.

PresidentMayor Curtis then called upon Vice President Mayor Sue Marshall to introduce the guest speaker.

Mayor CurtisPresident Mayor Curtis opened the meeting to Privilege of the Floor.
Mayor Curtis called upon 2nd Vice President Mayor John Peterson.
Mayor PetersonMayor Peterson spoke in length about the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) “Real” Rules in their current form.

This prompted a membership discussion which led to the OCMA adopting Resolution 2026 -01 "Resolution of the Ocean County Mayors' Association, County of Ocean, State of New Jersey, Opposing the NJDEP "REAL" Rules in their current form.

Mayor Curtis recognized a couple of honorary members attending.

Amanda spoke of the upcoming NJCM 61st Annual Spring Conference – May 19-21, 2026.
Save Barnegat Privilege of the Floor continued with: Save Barnegat Bay Executive Assistant & Community Engagement Coordinator, Brittany McLaughlin
Brittany spoke about the Save Barnegat Bay Spring Workshop “Charting A Course for Barnegat Bay Clean Water, Stronger Communities to be held on March 17, 2026.
