OCMA President Mayor Curtis welcomed everyone to the meeting. Mayor Curtis thanked Mass Yezzi of Yezzi Associates for sponsoring the meeting. In addition, Mayor Curtis mentioned the Mayor’s scholarships will be presented at the Superintendents Roundtable Student Recognition award ceremony on Monday, May 18, 2026. He then announced the Mayors’ scholarship recipients. He followed up with requesting Mayor Emeritus Boyle the Association treasurer to present the April report. This was followed up with funding for our scholarships by the Golf Classic Scholarship Fundraiser in August. Mayor Curtis then called upon Mayor Peterson to introduce the guest speaker Ocean County Commissioner Director Frank Sadeghi.
Commissioner Frank Sadeghi was sworn to his first three year term on the Ocean County Board of Commissioners during the Board’s reorganization meeting Jan. 3, 2024. He serves as the Director of the Board in 2026.
A successful businessman and a long-time public servant, Director Sadeghi brings years of leadership experience to the Board.
As a member of the Board, Director Sadeghi serves as co-liaison to such key Ocean County Government departments including the County Administrator, as well as the Finance and Purchasing departments to ensure sound financial management, transparent procurement and effective communication with residents. In addition, Director Sadeghi serves as co-liaisons to the Engineering Department, Road Department and Finance Department.
As co-liaison of the Departments of Engineering and Roads, Director Sadeghi works closely with staff from both departments to ensure Ocean County expansive network of County roads and bridges are well maintained and safely for pedestrians and the traveling public including residents and visitors.
Director Sadeghi also serves as liaison to the Ocean County Department of Buildings and Grounds which maintains 135 Ocean County Government building across the County including the Ocean County Administration Building, a number of resource centers, and a host of facilities that welcome citizens daily to access programs and services. Director Sadeghi also serves as liaison to Ocean County’s Award winning recycling program which provides both environmental and financial benefits as it protects our waterways and also helps save space at the landfill that services Ocean County’s municipalities.
As liaison to the Ocean County Planning Department, Director Sadeghi provides his support to programs that include the First Time Homebuyer Program and Community Development Block Grant funding that assists towns and individuals.
Director Sadeghi is a liaison to Ocean County’s Vocational Technical Schools helping to advance the mission of the school district as it provides invaluable career training in a host of trades, in addition to offering educational opportunities through its MATES program, Law and Public Safety Academy, Performing Arts Academy and Culinary Arts Academy.
In addition, Director Sadeghi serves as one of the liaison to the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department and the Ocean Prosecutor’s Office the main law enforcement agencies in Ocean County that work diligently to keep residents and visitors safe.
Director Sadeghi is a shining example of the American Dream having legally immigrated to the United States in 1976 at the urging of his father to build a better life for his mother and his three siblings. So, with $70 and the address of a distant relative in his pocket, he arrived at JFK Airport and soon found an apartment in the Bronx and a job – several of them.
A painter, a piano mover, a valet, and even a cook at a fast-food, fried chicken restaurant, Director Sadeghi knows the value of hard work, and takes pride coming from humble beginnings to achieve a better life for himself and his family.
He became a proud U.S. citizen and put himself through school, graduating with both a BSCE and a BS in Land Surveying from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and earned an M.C.R.P Master’s Degree in City and Regional Planning from Rutgers University.
In 1993, less than 20 years after arriving in America, Director Sadeghi founded Morgan Engineering – which now employs over 100 local residents – and is currently the Principal Owner responsible for total project management and design of municipal, residential, commercial and industrial projects. Director Sadeghi started a second, successful business called Arya Properties, employing hundreds of tradesmen that live and shop in Ocean County.
A Certified Municipal Engineer and Professional Engineer in the state of New Jersey, Director Sadeghi is a member of several professional societies: the American Society of Civil Engineers, the National Society of Professional Engineers, the New Jersey Society of Municipal Engineers, and the New Jersey Society of Professional Engineers. He also serves as Ocean County’s representative to the New Jersey Transportation Planning Authority.
Director Sadeghi attends Jesus is Lord Fellowship Church and the First United Methodist Church of Island Heights, where he is a longtime resident with his life partner Lauren Plump, and has an adult son and daughter, the latter of whom works in the family business. Prior to his decision to run for office, Director Sadeghi served in leadership positions in both the Ocean County and Toms River Republican organizations. Director Sadeghi served three terms on the Toms River Regional Board of Education.
A strong fiscal conservative, Director Sadeghi uses his private sector experience to help Ocean County reach its full potential as the best place to live, work, raise a family and retire in New Jersey.
Commissioner Director Sadeghi highlighted each of the County departments he is liaison to.





The Commissioner Director then called upon Joe Grillo is the Ombudsperson for the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (NJBPU), appointed in July 2024 to assist local governments, businesses, and ratepayers. Mr. Grillo mentioned of a meeting with municipalities to review storm related outages in Ocean / Monmouth with regard to time of restoration, and infrastructure upgrades.

Mike Ricci of IBEW 400 was called upon. Mr. Ricci spoke about the importance of a good strong education.
